It is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz. Which is a silicon mineral with a hexagonal crystal system. The name is derived from  the Greek word “Spotted Stone.” The stone is found in Brazil, United States and other countries. This stone symbolizes physical  strength, vitality and stability.
